Welcome to Low Food Chefs Academy: Do you want to become a chef that inspires a New Dutch food culture? You’re in the right place!
Low Food organizes Chefs Academy to facilitate a new generation of chefs that cook inclusive and sustainable dishes. Interested? Scroll down, apply and become part of the first edition! Kick-off session takes place on 19 August, main program starts in October.
What is Chefs Academy?
You take part in masterclasses from the best chefs, product developers and food scientists that will truly deepen and broaden your understanding of Food. That is, you will learn about the cultural, ecological and economical stories of the plates you prep. Lessons are related to your very own cooking dreams, that we discuss in a kick-off session prior to the start of the program.
Beware: Chefs Academy links theory to practice, and the masterclasses certainly involve field excursions! Finally, you receive a ticket to the yearly Low Food Symposium in December upon completion of Chefs Academy. The program’s working language is Dutch except for classes from foreign tutors in English. Please let us know if you expect that to be a barrier.
Ambassadors of Low Food
In Chefs Academy you will learn from inspiring (international) chefs and their perspectives on food culture, gastronomy and innovation. Some of our main ambassadors are Nadia Zerouali (TV-chef, cookbook author) and Joris Bijdendijk (chef RIJKS), Samuel Levie (Food Cabinet) and Joris Lohman (Food Hub)
